You can also, if you choose, get more closely involved in working with the younger Sections and providing them with the same kind of opportunities you've had through Scouting
How old do you need to be to join Network?Members of the Scout Network are aged between 18 and 25.
What do Network get up to?This is an easy one! Whatever you fancy is the short answer, you are in charge of your own programme so if YOU can think of it and YOU can organise it, then YOU can do it! Anything from a 3 week expedition to the foothills of the Himalayas to a day volunteering for the National Trust, if you fancy it give it a go!
What do members of Network wear?The Scout Network wear a full uniform when it is appropriate. Scouting is a uniformed organisation and the uniform tells everyone that you are a Scout. The uniform consists of:
- Stone Coloured Shirt
- Blue Long Trousers / Skirt
What badges/Awards can Network achieve?Chief Scout’s Award - Platinum, Diamond & The Queen's Scout Award
These are the Highest award available in the Scout Network Section.
Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme - The Scout Network and Explorer Scouts are also able to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
The Explorer Belt – The opportunity to carry out an independent expedition with a group of your scouting friends anywhere in the world and make a difference.
Members will also be encouraged to obtain qualifications through National Governing Bodies, for example British Canoe Union.
