An opportunity for leaders to gain skills necessary for a Scout permit.  
This event is designed to enable leaders with any level of personal climbing experience to learn and practice the techniques necessary for a Scout Permit and to undergo a technical assessment where appropriate.  The event runs concurrently with a Scout climbing activity at the same venue, so offers the opportunity for adults with personal climbing experience to develop the party management skills necessary for leading activities for groups of young people.

About The Course

Windsurfing is a fantastic sport, great fun and rewarding to learn. The course is a half day. Experienced windsurfers can book a full day.
Beginners will be introduced to windsurfing, while people with experience can further improve their skills.
Our instructors will guide you through the basic skills needed to get you going and guide you through the RYA Youth Training scheme.
Our instructors will guide you through all the basic skills and theory needed to get you going, and there's no greater satisfaction than the feeling you have the first time you sail across the wind... you'll soon be hooked on windsurfing. We use a simulator to help you progress and maximize the time on the water.

About The Course

Basic paddling sorted? Then this course will take you to the next level.

Whether paddling kayak or canoe your basic skills may be improved and advanced skills for maneuvering and rescues will be introduced and developed and may prepare you for a guided day trip on flat sheltered water. This event may lead to the gaining of Scout Stage 2 Paddlesport badge and British Canoeing (BC) Paddlepower Passport Awards.
